Wie kann man die Oracle Cloud nutzt, um Daten von verschiedenen Sensoren zu sammeln und zu analysieren? Die Sensoren sind mit einem Controller, z.B. einem Raspberry Pi, verbunden. Dieser Controller sendet die Sensordaten mit Hilfe einer REST-API an die Oracle Cloud. Dann können die Daten direkt in Oracle oder mit einem Python Notebook analysiert werden.

Das klingt alles sehr einfach. Dennoch gibt es einige Punkte, bei denen man sich schwer tun kann. Bei der Vorbereitung eines Studentenprojekts habe ich das ausprobiert und dabei neue Dinge gelernt, wie z.B. den Anschluss der Sensoren und die Programmierung des Controllers. Ein wichtiger Punkt ist das Datenmodell. Es sollte sowohl für das Schreiben von Daten als auch für die Analyse von Daten einfach sein. Das gewählte Datenmodell wird vorgestellt, ebenso wie die REST-API zum Schreiben und Lesen von Daten. Während der Präsentation werden die Sensoren in Betrieb sein, so dass wir am Ende die gesammelten Daten sehen und auswerten können.
